PATRIK UVH with air

In the vineyard, PATRIK UVH works with UVH light only. Trials by Cornell University show that night-time UV light can keep powdery mildew on leaves and bunches as low as fungicides. Where the foliage is dense, PATRIK UVH with air moves the leaves with its air flow so the light also reaches the bunch zone. Without chemicals.

Our devices can be used against these pests and diseases

  • Powdery mildew Erysiphe necator

White to grey, powdery coating on leaves, shoots and young berries. Infected berries stay small, harden and split; such bunches are hardly usable for wine or sale.

  • Downy mildew Plasmopara viticola

Yellowish, oily-looking spots on the upper side of the leaves with white spore growth underneath. Infected flower clusters and young berries turn brown and dry up; with heavy infection the leaves drop early.

  • Grey mould Botrytis cinerea

Grey, dusty fungal growth on flowers and fruit. Infected fruit turns soft and rots, often before harvest. Wet weather and dense foliage strongly favour it.

  • European red mite Panonychus ulmi

Tiny red mites on the undersides of the leaves, with red eggs on buds and bark in winter. The leaves turn pale and bronze and drop early, the fruit stays smaller.

  • Green leafhopper Empoasca vitis

Pale-green leafhoppers about 3 mm long on the undersides of the leaves. Their feeding turns the leaf margins yellow to reddish and dries them out.
