PATRIK UVH with mist

In vegetable growing, pests sit on top of and underneath the leaves. Unlike in fruit and berry growing, a spray mist of specially developed water can be added to the UVH. On the leaves its droplets behave like crystals: combined with the light, they multiply the light beam, so we can also reach places the UVH alone cannot get to.

Our devices can be used against these pests and diseases

  • Mealy cabbage aphid Brevicoryne brassicae

Grey-blue, waxy colonies on the leaves and in the heads. Infested leaves turn yellowish, infested heads can no longer be sold.

  • Cabbage whitefly Aleyrodes proletella

Whiteflies and their larvae on the undersides of cabbage leaves. Honeydew and sooty mould soil the leaves and sprouts.

  • Onion thrips Thrips tabaci

Tiny yellowish-brown insects between the leaves of the cabbage head. The feeding sites turn into brownish, warty spots on the inner leaves; affected heads must be trimmed or cannot be sold.
