PATRIK UVH with mist

In vegetable growing, pests sit on top of and underneath the leaves. Unlike in fruit and berry growing, a spray mist of specially developed water can be added to the UVH. On the leaves its droplets behave like crystals: combined with the light, they multiply the light beam, so we can also reach places the UVH alone cannot get to.

Infected Powdery mildew: the leaf is covered in a whitish coating. The fungus Erysiphe betae attacks beetroot and chard alike.

Our devices can be used against these pests and diseases

  • Black bean aphid Aphis fabae

Dense black colonies on shoot tips and leaf stalks. The leaves curl and growth stops.

  • Powdery mildew Erysiphe betae

White, powdery coating on the leaves, first on the older ones. The leaves turn yellow and die early, the roots stay smaller. Warm, dry weather in late summer favours it.
