Protecting blueberries – without chemicals

For blueberries we recommend PATRIK UVH with air: an air flow opens the foliage to the UVH light and sucks off pests – without chemicals and with no residues.

PATRIK UVH with air

Blueberries form dense foliage. PATRIK UVH with air draws air through the plants: the leaves move, the UVH light also gets behind them, and insects that fly up are sucked off and crushed in the fan. Without chemicals.

Our devices can be used against these pests and diseases

  • Blueberry aphid Ericaphis fimbriata

Small pale-green aphids along the veins on the undersides of the leaves. They suck sap and transmit viruses that weaken blueberry plants.

  • Powdery mildew Erysiphe vaccinii

White, powdery coating on leaves, flowers and fruit. The leaves curl, infected fruit stays small and can no longer be sold.

  • Grey mould Botrytis cinerea

Grey, dusty fungal growth on flowers and fruit. Infected fruit turns soft and rots, often before harvest. Wet weather and dense foliage strongly favour it.
